Loch Alpine loses Laurence Carolin
Friday, January 22, 2010 at 9:14PM We are saddened to note that 15-year-old Loch Alpine resident and 2009 Sendra Award recipient Laurence Carolin has passed away. Laurence had battled a brain tumor for over two years, yet still managed to make significant contributions to both to Loch Alpine, in the form of funds raised for soccer goals, and to the world at large, by generating contributions to the United Nations Foundation. Ours hearts go out to Laurence's family and friends.
Two memorial services will be held for Laurence. The first will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dexter on Saturday, Jan. 23, at 11:00 AM. The second will be at Nie funeral home in Ann Arbor on Sunday at 1:00 PM.
