The Lakes Restoration Project
There
are two manmade lakes in the Loch Alpine neighborhood, the Upper Lake (Bridgeway)
and the Lower Lake (Greenook). Over the years, the functional and
aesthetic quality of these lakes deteriorated from a complex series of
processes that included silt accumulation and algal overgrowth. Several
years ago, the LAIA embarked on a project to restore the Lakes and the
surrounding areas to their original state. This project is ongoing and
steady progress is being made. In fact, the Upper Lake Phase is nearly
completed and we are all very impressed with the results. See the
