Our Independence Celebration fireworks display will begin around 10 pm on Saturday, June 29. In the event of rain or threatening weather, the fireworks will be postponed to the following evening, June 30.
In preparation for the display, Midway will be closed between West Loch Alpine and Woodland before 4:00 pm on Saturday for set-up. For required safety precautions, NO vehicles or pedestrians will be allowed on that section of Midway while it is closed until after the fireworks show and the vendor has removed all equipment. Also, the pathway along the lower lake will be closed off in the area of the Midway dam for the same period of time. No pedestrians will be allowed in the closed area of the path.
For courtesy and public safety reasons, NO personal fireworks, including sparklers, will be allowed in the Loch Alpine parks at any time. We urge residents and guests to not use personal fireworks off their own properties, and particularly where other people may be assembled to watch the fireworks show. It also is appreciated if personal fireworks on residents’ private property are limited to the night of the Loch Alpine celebration or July 4 and not past 11:00 pm.
If rain or threatening weather requires postponing the Loch Alpine fireworks display until the following night, an email will be sent to the community as soon as possible, as well as posted on the Loch Alpine website and the Facebook site.
